3. User Experience

Cosmos Square is a knowledge sharing virtual environment. The knowledge sharing is for the users and it happens through the user experience, between users, stimulated by the environment, and between the environment and the users. The user experience is key to knowledge sharing and it is central to Cosmos Square. Everything in Cosmos Square is designed to support, enhance, and value user experience, ensuring that it is worthwhile, memorable, and unique.

That is why users return to Cosmos Square, bringing friends, colleagues, and partners. That is also why active sponsors ensure the knowledge they need to share is well modeled and integrated, through the structuring metaphor, into the Cosmos Square environment.

User experience is a key foundation for the Cosmos Square business model. Simultaneously, and configurable, with both Custom and Guided support.

Cosmos Square user experience results from a combination of factors, many of them briefly introduces in this document. This section introduces Custom and Guided user experience influences. What is somewhat harder to described is how knowledge resource models and the environment interact with the user, which is why this section also tries to describe a simple interaction sequence with a single knowledge resource, in 3.3. Example.
