6.3.2. Production Stage Plan Summary

For reference and completeness, this page introduces the following stage of the implementation phase of the Cosmos Square knowledge sharing virtual environment: the production stage, which will be the object of a subsequent project and work plan. The production stage work plan introduced here is not part of the current development project.

The Cosmos Square knowledge sharing virtual environment implementation phase production stage aims at putting the developed and tested environment to production levels, including:

  • Hosting the environment on a redundant, scalable, failsafe, logically and physically secure infrastructure
  • Ensuring 24/7/52 in-world user support and guidance, including trained guide teams
  • Implementing initial (early adopter) sponsor partnerships knowledge resources, with related in-world programs and activities
  • Develop working partnerships, accessibility, and connection with virtual world grid partners, e.g. SecondLife, OSGrid
  • Analysing user, subscriber, and sponsor response to prepare, adjust, and finalize platform, services, and marketing plan

As of 2010Q4, the Cosmos Square knowledge sharing virtual environment implementation phase production stage is expected to last 6 to 8 months.
