The Cosmos Square Surrounding structures physically occupy 75% of the Cosmos Square ground surface, but they are access and discovery paths for the central Square structures.

Important components of the Cosmos Square Metaphor, the Surroundings offer settings, adventure, and challenges for potential users, preparing them for access to the knowledge represented in the Square.

Cosmos Square Surrounding structures include Beaches, Forests, Rivers, Skies, and various hosting elements like the Orientation Lodge.
